Taman Ujung

This lovely water garden (built in 1919) is just a few minutes bike-ride from Amlapura.

Pura Pasar Agung

One chilly morning (a few days ago) I joined the family I'm staying with to a ceremony. This temple is located at the foothill of Mount Agung. Dina's father is a truck driver so we all went with his truck. It was misty and cool all the way through the steep trunk roads.

Sampling the offerings they brought. It was raining outside.

I sat too long on the ground my tongs left a mark on my skin.

Goodbye KL, Hello Bali.

Waiting for my Air Asia flight to Bali now. I have mixed feelings of anxiety and excitement - and the madness of trying to fit as many personal things as I can into a 30kg baggage allowance.

Pimp my ride. Lol.

I wanted a very old bicycle to ride around the village, so my Balinese friends went searching all over and found this from an old man who's has Alzheimer. Everyone insists that I hv it repainted to make it 'look new'. But I really like it the way it is. Rusty, discolored and aged.

Back in KL for a week.

So I've decided Bali is really the place I want to be in the next few months if not few years. I'm renting a small room from a Balinese family in a remote village called Jungutan near mount Agung. But before that I need to process the visa of course.

On a long transit in Singapore from Bali yesterday.
